We purchased Spot (don't ask why!) at 2 months of age early in March of 1992. It was an impulse buy, certainly not the wisest decision we have ever made. He has out-grown three cages and now has a huge cage that he will hopefully be in for the rest of his life! Iguanas are NOT easy to care for, it is often a lot of work. Although we have been successful we would not recommend them as a pet for everyone. When we first purchased him we thought he was a female but that was not the case. He is pretty clumsy and not too cuddly but we love him anyway!
