The Beach... It truly was gorgeous and NEVER more crowded than this.
Down the beach about 1/4 mile (where the big resorts is) was not this
way!!
Doesn't this look like PARADISE - It was!!
This was the beach right across the street from the Casa - Our
beach!!!!

These two pictures were taken at the same time period,
mid-day (you can tell by the shadows) and you can see how crowded
the beach is... |
Okay, where's my wet suit?
Outside temperature about 90 and water, just a little cooler..
There were some pockets that were like swimming in a fish bowl.
The sand was so fine that the tidal movement would kick up sand
and obstruct visibility. Boy was it TOUGH!!!
It's not like this in Oregon....
I can see you!!!!
Can you see me???

More underwater pictures off our beach...
Yes - we spent a lot of time in the water -
both pool & ocean.
Our beach had an abundance of fish we could see while
snorkeling a few feet off shore in 3 to 4 feet of water. The surf
would kick up sand from the bottom, so some of the pictures look
a little hazy because of the sand, but the water was clear as glass.
If this were a better picture, you would be able
to see the HUNDREDS of small fish swimming around us.

Couple more fishes hanging around the old Mayan skull
on the bottom of the ocean (just joking about the skull - it's a
rock - I think - or maybe it is an old skull). |
